Carnevale

As an 85% Catholic country, the celebration of Carnevale (Known as Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday in America) is an especially important tradition in Italy.
For the past few weeks, Carnevale festivities have been raging throughout the country; each paese and città have their own traditions that usually involve elaborate costumes (With amazing masks!), local parades, a casino of confetti, and the occasional egg/silly string attacks from pre-adolescent boys.
I celebrated Carnevale in a classmate's mountain village with a group of friends from school. We dressed up, drank wine, danced in the streets, and had an amazing time.
