A quick update
The weather here is great! It's been in the 50's - 80's range, depending on whether or not it's overcast or sunny. Lot's of wind, which can get annoying, but it's rained a pretty often, which I love.
I have watched some TV since I've been here, but I sort of lose interest after a bit because it's difficult for me to catch everything. They watch a lot of the Simpsons, Futurama, and Family Guy (called "Griffin"). The only show I've truly been able to follow is Gossip Girl, because I've seen most of the episodes before (They are a few seasons behind here), and scandal is fun in almost every language.
I haven't been to a movie theater yet, as Martina said I wouldn't be able to understand anything, which is a sad but true testament to me current Italian level (my Italian is okay-- I'm improving more and more each week-- but it's still a little overwhelming, and a challenge to talk with people) Maybe I'll go to the movies in a few months.
I mostly hang out with all of Martina's friends, and I suppose I would consider them to be my own as well. They are all very nice and seem to enjoy talking to me. We spend a lot of time hanging out together at and around la Piazza Libertà .
The city of Avellino is filled with a plethora of Italian sex gods, but they all seem to be quite occupied with their girlfriends. Fine by me, as I'm not even remotely interested. It would be difficult to have a relationship in which I couldn't communicate, anyway, especially when I have to leave in nine months.
