The host family

My host family is very nice, but quite different from my one at home.

Margherita Picardi: My host mother screams everything, even when she's happy or talking about something trivial, which is kind of hilarious, but also vaguely frightening. She kept her maiden name when she married which earns instant respect on my part. I don't know if she likes me, although she has the tendency to talk about me when I'm in the room (Too bad I can't understand anything! AUHOD@C#$GV!), and I live in fear that one day she'll decide I'm no good and chuck me out.

Angelo Bochicchio: My host father is quieter, and likes to read and watch the news a lot. He sleeps in one of the attic rooms, not the master (my host mother's domain). He also drives me and Martina absolutely everywhere, at all times of night. She need only call, and he wakes up (grumbling, mind you) and comes to get us.

Sara Bochicchio: (22) She's one of the nicest people I've met. She's been very helpful, as she's practically fluent in English. She studies Japanese, Korean, and English at a university in Naples, and commutes a few times a week. Aside from family meals she tends to stay up in her room.

Martina Bochicchio: (17) She's awesome, a total gemini. She's the only person who can even begin to understand my pathetic attempts to grasp the Italian language, and is always interpreting for me wherever we go. And we go everywhere together.
